Child Welfare

Morden Little League complies with the Little League Football Child Protection Policy, which includes checking the background and suitability of all volunteers.

Morden Little League regards the welfare of each child to be paramount.

  • All children have the right to protection from any type of abuse.

  • All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.

  • All volunteers in Little League Football have a responsibility to report concerns to their welfare officer.

Under the Protection of Children Act 1999 and the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000, there is a legal requirement that Morden Little League volunteers must obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Morden Little League has a dedicated Welfare Officer, their responsibilities includes being the first point of call following any concerns of safeguarding or child welfare issues.
