SPOND
Changing the way we communicate
Why the change?
As Morden Little League continues to grow, we need a communication platform that is more organised, secure and designed specifically for grassroots sport. While WhatsApp has served many teams well, it can be difficult to manage important messages, fixtures, availability and safeguarding requirements across hundreds of players and families.
Spond brings everything together in one place. Instead of information being spread across multiple WhatsApp groups, emails and text messages, families can access fixtures, training schedules, team announcements, documents and attendance requests through a single app. This reduces confusion, ensures everyone receives the same information and makes it easier for volunteers to focus on supporting our players.
Spond also provides significant safeguarding and privacy benefits. Parents can receive updates without sharing personal phone numbers with large groups, and the platform is designed with youth sports organisations in mind. Communication is managed through official team groups, helping us maintain a safer and more professional environment for everyone involved.
For coaches and managers, Spond makes administration much easier. Attendance tracking, match availability, event reminders and team communications can all be managed from one place, reducing the time volunteers spend chasing responses and updating spreadsheets.
Most importantly, moving to Spond helps us build a more connected and inclusive club. Every team, manager, volunteer and family will be using the same platform, creating a consistent experience across the whole league.
Our goal is simple: one league, one communication platform, one reliable place for everything Morden Little League.
